Hello everyone, this is Shiina Hekiru. Thank you for listening to Precious Garden.
This year there have been some new activities [on the radio show] that I'm really looking forward to. But, well what can you say... it's so early in the morning. I sit here wondering if everyone is lying under their covers listening to this show. It takes a bit to remember all this and write a postcard the next morning! But I would be really happy if everyone did participate, so I'd like to offer a word of encouragement to you all! Here we go...
"Good morning! Get up please."
*laugh*
That wasn't very good, was it. Nope nope, nope. Not at all, Shiina Hekiru. Please send me your words of love. *laugh*
By the way, on a totally different topic, in December last year, the film Battle Royale was getting a lot of attention in the media and papers... I went to see this on opening day. It was a little after the novel came out, about a year before it was made into a movie, a friend told me it was pretty good, that I should go see it, but I never thought it would become such a big thing. At first I didn't think it was a big deal because it was a Japanese movie, but it really was a magnificent movie. I think everyone should go see it. I had heard of the director Hukasa Kenji, that he was well known for his violent films, but this really was a well crafted movie. The actors, the characters, Beat Takeshi's role - he really hit the key points over that wide range. Beat Takeshi was in the movie to provide the viewpoint of an adult. When you think about the decisions that the students had to face... it really made me think hard about what would I have done if it was me who had come face to face with dying, and other such themes. Also, there was one guy who was playing a Golgo 13 type of role... "Hey, how come he can do all these things?" *laugh* The point wasn't about all the killing; I really got the impression that, at the end, they really had salvation waiting for them. I recommend it very much.
Well, in any case, I'd like to talk about these things and such... well, what I mean by "and such" I don't really know *laugh* but it would be great if we all had a good time. The radio program is from 4am to 5am "KAPAAAN!" That's pretty early eh... Well, it's really early, but please do listen to it. I'll do my best. So let's all make Precious Garden a wonderful radio program. This was Shiina Hekiru.
